Pickled Beets, a Guest Post, and a Canning Workshop…

Pickled Beets Web

Check out my guest pickle post on Hungry Harvest‘s recipe blog! Hungry Harvest is a Baltimore based organization that rescues over-ordered or “ugly” fruit and veg to reduce food waste and generally save the world. After rescue, they distribute the goods straight to your house for some all around feel good eating.

If you’re wondering what do to with all that veg…make quick pickled beets that are sweet and sour for a great salad topping or addition to egg salad or savory yogurt! Later this month, on August 17th from 6:00-9:00 PM, I’ll also be teaching a canning workshop at Hungry Harvest, it’s free, you’ll learn how to can veggies at home, and you should probably come. RSVP: Canning Class at Hungry Harvest
